Since the Craftsmen for Christ ministry began, there have been many miracles of faith and compelling testimonials. This is just one story of what happens when neighbors decide to love each other as themselves.

Recently CFC developed a relationship with the Sutter County Juvenile Probation Department. Teenage students that have been convicted of minor crimes work off their community service time by volunteering for our ministry. One of the young girls who came to work at the warehouse noticed that we helped the disabled with wheelchair ramps. She then proceeded to tell us about her Fathers needs. Her father suffers form a nerve disorder that does not allow him the use of his legs. She told us that since her parents divorce, her dad had become somewhat bed ridden as the home that he lived in was in desperate need of a ramp. Our CFC volunteers assured her that we would go and take a look at her fathers needs. What we found was horrific; Robert had been in the bed for so long that had developed a large bedsore on his back that went all the way to the spine. He told us that he had not been outside of his house on his own for 2 ½ years. Robert's home was about 30 inches off of the ground and all the stairs and the decking surrounding his home was suffering from dry-rot.

Our volunteers returned the next day with hearts to serve and all of the materials needed to replace the decking and construct a new ramp. By days end the ramp was completed and the project was concluded with prayer. Afterwards Robert wanted to try out the ramp, about half way down Robert rose up the front two wheels on his chair a rode a wheelie down the ramp. After 2 ½ years he was finally outside on his own! Our friendship with Robert has continued and we deliver to him items such as food and household items that we receive from Operation Blessing. Robert has rededicated his life to Christ and is now out in the community serving and setting an example for his precious daughter
