The Craftsmen Food Ministry

During the winter of 1997, Yuba and Sutter County in Northern California, suffered a devastating flood. Craftsmen For Christ Volunteers responded with nine men to clean up one home. Two years and 10,000 volunteers later CFC restored more than 250 homes. It was during this disaster relief effort that CFC and Operation Blessing began to work together to provide food and household items to those who where in need.

For the past seven years CFC and Operation Blessing has continued to provide these provisions to those in need in NorthernCalifornia. Through the CFC Warehouse, volunteers receive, re-package and distribute more than 1.5 million pounds of goods each year. We receive both perishable items such as, vegetables, fruits, meats, bread, yogurt, salad mixes and non-perishable food items such as candy, canned food, beans, cereal and many many more. We also receive items such as diapers, shampoo, toothpaste, paper goods, school supplies, & even office furniture. We are quick to give these items to individuals, churches, discipleship homes, shelters, schools, various other non-profits and even jails.

God has taught us over the years to give without judging, we try and give as if we were giving unto God. Freely we have been given and freely we should give. Our obedience has produced an incredible abundance. We hope to give away the love of Christ with each box, and every pallet that leaves the Warehouse. The word tells us that the poor will always be with us,and it also says that He will never leave or forsake us. We can see these truths played out in the heart of our food ministry.
